On 8th November St Alkmund’s Church and Hall suffered severe flooding and subsequent damage.
During the course of the week we have managed to find a temporary office at Unit 3 Heritage Business Centre, Belper, DE56 1SW. The phone will be installed early next week, and we will have the same number by close of play on Tuesday 19th November.
This does mean that St Alkmund’s will be joining us for a joint service at 4.30pm.
And do please bear with the staff team as they try and continue to do their jobs in frustrating circumstances.
The flood contained contaminated water, so please discourage people from going down to have a look. The cleaners have been in, and left dehumidifiers, but we will need to wait now until the loss adjuster, and insurers have met with James Hughes before we can see the way ahead. The church have not yet received a certificate of safety.
Here are a few pics of the events of the last week.
