Here at St Paul’s we believe that children are important to God and are an integral part of the life of the church.  God’s word is as relevant for children and young people as it is for adults, so we have an enthusiastic team of leaders who aim to teach them the Bible in an enjoyable and stretching way.

Our aim is to make Explorers a warm and welcoming place where children can feel secure and happy as they grow in faith through sharing friendships and experiences within a framework of relevant biblical teaching.

Our aim is to teach the Bible to children in an engaging and enjoyable way using a variety of presentations, songs, drama, prayer, crafts and activities. The children spend some time together and then split into smaller groups with those of their own age.

Explorers happens each Sunday in term time, except when there is a Cafe Church Service. It starts at 10am and finishes at 11.30.

Explorers meet in church with the rest of the church family at the start of the 10:00 service. After a couple of songs and a Kids’ Spot, the children go to the church hall with their leaders. Parents can either collect their children from the hall at 11.30 or, if they wish to stay for coffee and biscuits in church after the service, we can bring their children back down to church.

Holiday Club

Our annual Holiday Club is free and open to all primary-aged children including those about to start in Reception and those about to move up into year 7.  It usually runs in the last week of the school summer holidays.

Each morning we sing songs, play games, do crafts and find out about Jesus in the Bible. We spend some time together and other time in age-related groups. Previous years have been a lot of fun, and we’re sure this year will be no different.
